How to find us
Landhaus Seereith, Hinterseestraße 124, 5324 Faistenau
In earlier times, it was still difficult to reach the quiet valleys in the Salzkammergut.
Today you can drive directly to the country house and park for free in our parking lots. If you arrive by plane or train, we will gladly organize the trip to and from the Landhaus Seereith for you.
Arriving by train
Destination station “Salzburger Hauptbahnhof”: From there by bus (line 155 or 150) to Faistenau (Salzburger Verkehrsverbund) or by taxi (about € 50, -) to Faistenau. Shortly before the Hintersee you will find our Landhaus Seereith.

Arriving by car
Coming from Vienna
via the A1 (Vienna) in the direction of Salzburg – just before Salzburg take the “Thalgau” exit onto the main road via Hof in the direction of Faistenau – just before Hintersee you will find our Landhaus Seereith.
Coming from Villach, Munich
via the A10 in the direction of Salzburg or the A8 (Munich) in the direction of Salzburg – at the Salzburg junction on the A1 in the direction of Vienna and after a few kilometers the exit just before Salzburg the exit “Thalgau” on the main road via Hof towards Faistenau – just before the Hintersee find our Landhaus Seereith.
Arriving by plane
The nearest airport is “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart” Salzburg located just outside the city of Salzburg. The best way to reach the Faistenau by public bus is by bus. Take the bus (line 2) to Salzburg Central Station, then change to the bus (155 or 150) to Faistenau.

Our new rooms combine traditional alpine feeling with modern and loving furnishings and living comfort. The spacious rooms with balcony can accommodate 2 persons each, including a wonderful view of the lake and mountains.
Landhaus Seereith apartment
Furthermore, our house offers a holiday apartment on the top floor. The spacious apartment for up to 4 people offers its own kitchen, a living and dining area, 2 bedrooms, balcony, bathroom with double rain shower, toilet.
Enjoy alps breakfast
In our cozy breakfast room / Seereith bar with a direct view of the Hintersee, we offer you a rich breakfast to start the day in a good mood. In the summer months, you can enjoy the morning sun on our lakeside terrace.
Feel at home
Due to its location at Hintersee Lake, Landhaus Seereith boasts unique scenery between the spectacular view of alpine mountains and the reflections of a mountain lake, a stone’s throw from Salzburg. This it is the ideal starting point for excursions into the Salzkammergut, while the sights of Salzburg’s old town are also a short drive away.
